The leaders of the self-proclaimed republics of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transdniestria intend to announce that the republics are to start joint actions to attain common goals at a tripartite meeting due to be held in Sukhumi on Wednesday.

"The sense of our meeting is that we, the three republics, will stop working separately, from now on we will work together to attain our goals, which are virtually the same," Abkhaz leader Sergei Bagapsh told Interfax on Wednesday.

The three republics will coordinate their activities in the political, economic, and cultural areas and "will support each other in general," Bagapsh said.
