An explosion which killed eight people in a taxi bus in Tiraspol, capital of the self-proclaimed republic of Transdniestria, was caused by a bomb planted inside the vehicle's cabin, Transdniestrian Deputy Interior Minister Oleg Belyakov said. The explosion killed eight and wounded 13, four of whom are in a critical condition, Belyakov told the press. Among those wounded are two Russian peacekeepers, Capt. Alexander Zakusilo and Sgt. Igor Polezhayev. Preliminary information suggests that a nurse from a Russian military hospital was also killed in the explosion, although this information needs to be verified, he said. www.interfax.ru
