Vladimir Voronin, President of Moldova, is positive that Moldova and Russia will find mutually rewarding projects in the sphere of political partnership.

He made the statement at yesterday's press conference in Chisinau, noting that Russia had started to revise its foreign policy, which is believed to be very reasonable and practical. Voronin said the main thing was to avoid a downpour of "doubtful assessments and publications in the mass media" when pursuing a dialogue between Moscow and Chisinau.

He regretted that some journalists contributed to tensions, alleging an upcoming union between Moldavia and Romania, accession to NATO, use of force to suppress Transnistria, which is populated by Russians, banishing of Russian peacekeepers to be replaced by a NATO presence and the like. He refuted all these allegations.
