The entire property currently owned by Transnistria residents as well as the production potential used by all economic agents in the region are not and may not be a subject of whatever claims by the Moldovan official authorities, reads the Resolution adopted at the enlarged meeting of the Moldovan leadership held last weekend.

President Vladimir Voronin stated at the meeting there exists no alternative to a peaceful solution of the Transnistria conflict, and Chisinau's attempts to reintegrate the country should not have any negative impact on citizens or economic agents in the Transnistrian region. He emphasized: all constitutional rights and freedoms, including the right of property, shall be guaranteed.

The Resolution also said that the Moldovan Government guarantees the observance of the property right of Transnistrian real persons and corporations registered with corresponding state organs of Moldova.

The Moldovan Government has guaranteed that the rules of running external trade operations and rules of registration for Transnistrian enterprises, prescribed in governmental Resolutions of 2001, 2005, and 2006, shall be valid until a mechanism has been worked out of settling such relations in the framework of a lasting political settlement of the Transnistria problem.
