Interfax Russia - Moscow, Russia
MOSCOW. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Russia has never voted against the European Union or the United States sending observers to negotiations on a Transdniestrian settlement, a high level Foreign Ministry source told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Observing is quite acceptable and we have never opposed it," he said.
Commenting on Georgia's intention to expand the Joint Control Commission on its conflict with South Ossetia, he said: "We have to learn to work in the existing format."
