President Viktor Yuschenko stresses importance of international regional organizations

Such organizations give an opportunity to efficiently react on problems, which emerge in the region, Mr President said.
The Ukrainian Head of State reminded developments in Transdniestria, Abkhazia and Adzharia, having noted that settlement of international conflicts "will become the GUAM's second function". "Only our cooperation, including in regional projects, to participation in which we call on Central Asia, Caucasian and Black Sea countries, can give clear responses to these challenges", the Ukrainian President said. Viktor Yuschenko confirmed Ukraine's readiness to assist Georgia in settlement of conflicts, including with South Ossetia.
