MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed on Monday his country's approval of a decision to have the European Union and the United States join the settlement process in the breakaway Transdniestria region.

Lavrov was speaking at a news conference after meeting with Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, chairman in office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
