Politicians and public figures from Abkhazia, South Ossetia Transdniestria and Nagorno Karabakh urge western countries to acknowledge independence of their countries.

The statement was made by the participants of the international conference “Multiculturalism and ethno political models of the XXI century” that was held in Geneva.
Besides, international community must refuse from “discriminative approaches to the decision of ethno political issues,” the final statement of the conference reads.
The representatives of the unrecognized republics Abkhazia, South Ossetia Transdniestria and Nagorno Karabakh and the representatives of the OSCE, Russian and western experts participated in the conference, organized by Russian nongovernmental fund “Free Europe”.

The participants of the conference reckon that the “fast achievement of political consensus between Russia and the countries of western democracy regarding the issue of acknowledgment of the Republic Abkhazia, Nagorno Karabakh republic, Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic and South Ossetian republic will promote deepening of stability and security in the zone of OSCE’s responsibility.”
