Tiraspol, February 7, INTERLIC. The Transdniestrian authorities wants to return the earlier sold Grigoriopol Poultry Factory through the court. As INTERLIC reporter reports from Tiraspol, the Transdniestrian Arbitration Court received an appeal on the denunciation of a Privatization . The Plaintiff is the Minister of Economy of the so-called TMR.
Let us remind that the Grigoriopol Poultry Factory Schimen? was sold for 2 rubles. It was the first case of the sale of an object for a symbolic price. Besides, the purchaser pledged to repay the creditors indebtedness at 1 million of Transdniestria rubles. In Accordance with an individual project it was obliged to invest $3.5 million into the repair and the technical re-equipment of the factory. However, the investor failed to fulfil its obligations completely and the factory doe not function.
The court proceeding will take place in the nearest time. According to TMR Minister of Economy Elena Chernenko, if the ministry wins the suit, the object will be offered for the sale again and the investments, made, into the factory, will be referred to the creditors indebtedness. The investor will be able to hope in its return, when its turn comes.
The present owner is going to defend his interests in the court. He considers that the Ministry of Economy bears responsibility for the violation of the Investment Plan.
