RBC, 18.10.2005, Chisinau 10:35:42.In the first half of 2005, Transnistria boosted exports to Russia by 150 percent (or USD68.1m) to USD112m, compared with the same period in 2004, RBC has been told by the Transnistrian economy ministry. Russia accounted for 39.1 percent of the total of Transnistrian exports, which stood at USD286.1m (up by USD22.6m, or 8.6 percent).

Simultaneously, between January and July, Transnistria curbed imports from Russia by 12.8 percent to USD85.4m, which were mainly represented by energy (41.3 percent, or USD35.3m), and basic metals (41.9 percent, or USD35.8m).
