Transnistria To Sign Contract With Gazprom

Transnistria will sign a contract on gas deliveries directly with Gazprom, CEO of the joint Russian-Moldovan venture Moldovagaz Gennady Abashkin told RBC today.
According to him, it is expected that Moldovagaz's formal subsidiary Tiraspoltransgas will sign a gas contract with Gazprom, while the previous contracts were signed between Gazprom and Moldovagaz. However, Tiraspoltransgas has announced that it will leave Moldovagaz and transfer Transnistrian shares and assets to Gazprom, followed by the creation of a joint venture on the basis of Tiraspoltransgas.
