According to an UNIAN correspondent, Ukraines Foreign Ministry spokesman Vassyl Fylypchuk claimed this to a news conference today.

“Our stance is that we, as well as the international community, do not acknowledge this election as legitimate, and believe the key solution would be to send an international assessing OSCE mission to Tiraspol to analyze the situation and to work out recommendations concerning holding a free and democratic parliamentary election in Transdniestria”, said he.

V.Fylypchuk added that this issue has been many times considered during talks between the mediators in the Transdniestria settlement and representatives of the European Union and the United States.

He stressed that the mediators – Ukraine, RF, and OSCE – clearly set out their position that the parliamentary election in Transdniestria on 11 December were illegitimate.
