Ukraine to Dig Trenches Along Transdniestria Border |

The Eastern Europe bureau of APA reports that head of the Ukraine State Frontier Service Nikolay Litvin issued a statement related to this issue. While in Odessa, he said that trenches 1 meter in depth will be dug in the areas bordering on the Transdniestrian in near future. Five groups of engineers were taken to the Frontier Troops in Kotovsk on 10 April. Special device can dig trenches 4 km in depth every day. The sign of warning ?Passing forbidden! will be placed in every 100 meters. The soil along the trenches will be ploughed to found tracks of border violators easily. ?These measures are not related to the Transdniestrian conflict. It is very important to strengthen the state border and preserve law and order in the frontier, Litvin underscored. Nikolay Litvin also said that the marine sector of the frontier will also be focused on, and modern equipment has been placed in Kucurghan zone near the separatist regime. Special devices that can feel heat of human body will be installed in this section of Ukrainian frontier soon. Transdniestrian separatists could access to the world through Ukraine only. en.apa.az
